About the role:

We're looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Wardrobe Assistant to join our fast-paced production team this October, and keep over 120 performers looking their most gruesome throughout the run! 

About you:

You must be a strong, confident individual with previous experience in fast paced theatrical environments, who can follow instruction, solve problems independently, and maintain a high standard of work. You must have working knowledge of costume repair and skillset for both hand and machine sewing. 

You must also have excellent communication skills, be friendly and approachable, and have good organisation, time management and administration skills. You will need to be flexible and adaptable in your approach to the role and possess a positive, forward-thinking attitude.

Responsibilities:

• To maintain the cleaning and laundering of all costumes for the production, in the manner and frequency required
• Maintain the relevant costume requirements and ensure performer needs are met in an efficient, effective, flexible and friendly manner at all times
• Assist in the tracking of supplies and materials required for the running of the costume workroom
• Carry out costume refurbishment, as needed
• Ensure that all running wardrobe work is achieved within the time constraints set, paying close attention to detail (guests will be able to view costumes and action up close)
• Help keep the wardrobe room and dressing rooms clean and tidy, following good housekeeping procedures
• Oversee the signing out and signing in of all costumes

Important:

Due to the nature of this role, applicants must be 18 or over and have full availability for the whole duration of the contract.

Dates:

This role will require you to work on the following dates. Full availability on live dates is essential:

• Pre-production: TBC (select dates in September & October)
• Live Dates: October 10th, 11th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 24th, 25th, 26th, 29th, 30th, 31st, and November 1st

Rate of Pay:

• £120 per shift (approximately 10:00 - 19:00)
