About the role:

As a Technical Assistant, you'll work alongside our Lead Technician and show team to install, maintain, and troubleshoot the lighting, audio, special effects, and show systems that bring FEAR Scream Park to life.

You’ll be confident working within a small, close-knit team, and eager to learn new skills while helping to maintain the technical aspects of FEAR Scream Park. A proactive attitude and problem-solving mindset are key, especially when responding to challenges in real time during the event.

While experience with lighting, audio, and special effects is a plus, we’re happy to provide training to help you succeed in the role. Flexibility, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn are essential! 

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation, setup, and testing of lighting, audio, special effects, and show systems
  
• Perform daily checks on all systems to ensure that everything is operational before the attractions open to guests
• Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and efficiently to prevent attraction downtime
• Respond to emergency technical faults or system failures during live operation
• Assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment when required, following safety guidelines and best practices
• Monitor the performance of special effects (e.g. fog machines) and make adjustments needed during the event
• Provide support for other technical tasks, as directed by the Lead Technician
• Work collaboratively with other departments, ensuring smooth coordination and communication between technical, operations and guest services teams

Important:

Due to the nature of this role, applicants must be 18 or over and have full availability for the whole duration of the contract.

Dates:

This role will require you to work on the following dates. Full availability on live dates is essential:

• Install: TBC (select dates in September & October)
• Live Dates: October 10th, 11th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 24th, 25th, 26th, 29th, 30th, 31st, and November 1st

Rate of Pay:

• £12.50 - £13.50 per hour (dependent on experience)
